Special moment today as we closed out our back to school PD for staff. Our district has had many benefactors providing scholarships. The Debbie Blaha scholarship was created last spring. The Plattin staff joined Larry Blaha today to view the new plaque outside the library.

Part of our CSIP planning has been the sanding of the Kiepe Gym floor at Danby Middle. The project came in well under budget. The budgeted funds were used to put LED lights in the JHS gym. We will have CSIP opportunities this fall with our community to plan for our kids.

In preparation for our Class of 2013 reunion, former Principal Mark Ruark (virtually)and former Counselor Suzanne Richardson (in-person) joined us today for a podcast. Look for the posting next week as we prepare for the upcoming reunion!


Our Maintenance and Custodial Staff have been working hard inside and outside the buildings. They have gone the extra-mile to clean-up the Courtyard at Danby Middle School. We appreciate all they do for the district!

Wesley UMC Festus is having a Back to School Fair on Saturday, August 5th at 10am. It is open to ALL, no income requirements. They encourage teachers to come grab some supplies for classrooms as well. Free Kona Ice, hot dogs and drinks will be provided.
