During the April 18, 2023 Board Meeting, the following individuals were recognized: Food Service Department for a Successful Completion of Audit, Danby Middle School Quiz Bowl Teams, Jefferson College Math Competition - Danby and Jefferson, Danby Middle School Mastodon Art Fair Winners,  Basketball - All District / All Conference, and Archery.

2023 Food Service Department:

Beth Bollinger, Michelle Bradley, Leann Broadwater, Robin Carrow-Stoll, Terri McLean, Kim Naucke, Karen Ruzicka, Jessica Sieben, Mary Steffens, Darla Williams, Kristina Williams, and Donica Wagner, Food Service Director.


2023 Quiz Bowl Team:

7th Grade: Lily Ehrhardt, Kate Haug, Zeke Bach, Andrew Wigger, Parker Bowen, Avery Koenig, Avery Humphrey, and Olly Klump.

8th Grade: Brody Thornton, Dylan Grayum, Kendall Neel, Colton Broadwater, Grayson Rundel, Candice Raymond, Bryant Horn, and Olivia Lee.


Girls and Boys Basketball Awards:

Girls Basketball: Halayna Loyd - All-Conference Honorable Mention and All-District

Boys Basketball:

All-Conference: Nate Breeze - 1st Team, Kaleb Weiler - 2nd Team, CJ Johnson - Honorable Mention

All-District: Nate Breeze and CJ Johnson


Jefferson College Math Competition:

Congratulations to Natalie Haug, who was the 2nd Place Finisher over all of the high school competing!

Not Pictured: Danby Middle School - 7th Grade: Josie Bright, DJ Drysdale, and Kate Haug.

Danby Middle School - 8th Grade: Olivia Lee, Kendall Neel, and Kyleigh Weiler.

The main teams competing were Festus, Crystal City, Windsor, St. Pius, and Jefferson. There were a few other students from other schools. Danby placed second. DJ Drysdale placed first out of all seventh graders.


Mastodon Art Fair Winners:

Maliah Byas, 8th grade: 3rd place in the 8th grade division, won the Eva Kirkpatrick Award worth $50, and a Gallery Award. Her piece was chosen to be displayed at the Festus Public Library through the month of April. 

Mackenzie Donjon, 8th grade: Received a Gallery Award. Her piece was chosen to be displayed at Mastodon State Park through the month of April. 

Not Pictured: Arianah Lucas, 8th grade: 1st place in the 8th grade division, and was chosen to receive a free art workshop at Jefferson College. 


Archery Recognition:

State 3D Danby Individuals: Grady Fallert, Truett Fallert, Kate Haug, and Ben Vandiver.

State 3D JHS Team: Gavin Bradshaw, Hailee Buehler. Brandon Chamberlin, Carleigh Cook, Aiden Dowd, Jace Dowd, Ella Fogelbach, Gavin Meyer, Micah Meyer, Kaelyn Nilson, Anna Rawe, Annabelle Richardson, Ethan Self, Carter Vaughn, and Katie Wondell.

State Bullseye JHS Individuals: Carleigh Cook, Aiden Dowd, Jace Dowd, Kaelyn Nilson, Anna Rawe, Ethan Self, and Katie Wondell.
