Chromebook Insurance Program

Overview

The Jefferson R-VII School District Technology Department offers each family the opportunity to voluntarily insure District-owned Chromebooks issued to students as part of the One-to-One Program. This insurance program protects the Chromebook against accidental damage, loss, theft, fire, flood, and other natural disasters. This insurance policy provides replacement cost coverage and protects the Chromebook on and off school grounds.

This insurance plan requires that the Chromebook must remain in the protective case. If the Chromebook is removed from the case, this policy is rendered null and void and the family will assume responsibility for the full cost of the repair or replacement of the Chromebook.

The insurance program is designed to offset the costs of the device repairs.
